The crown jewel in a public-private partnership to revitalize Cleveland’s Slavic Village neighborhood was set in place yesterday with the dedication of the Morgana Athletic Complex.
The $4 million facility includes a new 1,800-seat football stadium and eight-lane track. It will provide a home for the athletic teams of Cleveland Central Catholic high school and will also serve as a recreation center for the community, according to a story in the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
It was financed by the City of Cleveland, the Cleveland Catholic Diocese, Third Federal Savings and the Cleveland Browns.
Sports Construction Group built the synthetic turf playing field for the complex’s Stefanski Stadium.
