The Issue:
Johns Hopkins University needed to upgrade both the practice and playing fields of its NCAA Division I lacrosse championship team.

The Job: SCG was chosen to construct the sub bases and manage installation of two new Sportexe brand, synthetic field systems.

The Results:
SCG’s work on the refurbished stadium and new practice field was elatedly welcomed by all athletes, students, administrators and coaches. “SCG led the charge for the whole project – they did the sub base work and oversaw the two different turf installation crews. With them having control at that level everything went smoothly – almost flawlessly,” said Bill Harrington, John Hopkins senior associate director of athletics and recreation. Harrington stated he was impressed with SCG’s ability to find solutions – in many cases, immediately – to uphold deadlines under its tight timeline. “Sports Construction Group is a leader in playing field construction. They’re at the top of our list for any future project,” he said.
