The Issue: Following a damaging flood that ruined Harrisburg, Pa.’s minor league baseball field, the team needed a new stadium for its quickly approaching season.
The Job: SCG was selected to give the field the restoration it required to accommodate the team’s upcoming home games.

The Results: Faced with numerous challenges, ranging from the location of the field on an island in the middle of the Susquehanna River, to the snow-dumping, wintry season, SCG finished the project on time under the pressures of a rigid deadline. “We were faced with extremely difficult circumstances on this job,” said Dan Almond, partnering sports field designer and engineer from Millennium Sports Technologies, Inc. “On this project [SCG] really stepped up; hauling snow when they needed to and being creative about which parts of the field to work on and when,” he said. The Senators are equally impressed with the facility. “It’s much better than what we played on before – both home and visiting teams comment on how nice the surface is,” said Todd Vander Woude, Senators general manager.
